TERRELL JOYNER

FINANCIAL ADVISOR

CHARTER OAK FINANCIAL

Terrell, a Connecticut native and graduate of Western New England University and Springfield College, puts his passion at the forefront of his practice. He has helped numerous business owners find solutions to their financial concerns and implement strategies to grow their businesses. His personal planning practice focuses primarily on educators.

As the spouse of a teacher and an adjunct professor at Elm’s College himself, Terrell understands the struggle teachers face balancing their workload and personal lives. Terrell believes that proper planning and understanding one’s goals can help to overcome financial restraints. As a member of the LGBT community and a founding member of the MA LGBT Chamber of Western Mass, Terrell is a champion for equality and social justice. His belief that the needs of his clients are best served through diverse perspectives and skillsets inspires him to teach minority- and women-owned business leaders how to run their businesses like true corporations.

Terrell’s charitable interests are a direct reflection of his professional passion: He teaches financial literacy to both students and adults, and serves on numerous boards and advisory committees.

In his spare time, he loves to garden, golf, barbeque, and brew homemade wine.

LARRAT WILLIAMS

FINANCIAL ADVISOR

EDWARD JONES

As you enter the doors of our office, please know that you are welcome here. I graduated with an MBA in finance from the University of Connecticut and have over 20 years of financial management experience. I also own my own business, Scotti's Golf Driving Range, which rests on 14 acres of recreational property in Leeds, MA.

Personal financial skills are one of the most underinvested areas of our educational lives, and that is where I feel I fit in, to help eliminate the pain and the noise to help make sense of the options necessary to achieve goals in life such as retirement, plans to buy a home, how much to set aside for emergency savings and family planning expenses.

Sitting down with you and finding out what is important to you is a large part of the process of choosing to work with a financial advisor. No matter where you are or the journey you took to get here, I will help put the pieces in place by following a proven process.

TAYLOR ROBBINS

BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

UMASSFIVE COLLEGE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION

Taylor Robbins (she/her) currently holds the title of Business Relationship Manager at UMassFive College Federal Credit Union. With a focus on Commercial Lending and Cash Management, she uses her experience in the field to offer individualized advice for business owners - making commercial banking a more personal and accessible experience. Building upon a background in for-profit banking, Taylor has found her alignment in the not-for-profit Credit Union space where, (for the last 5 years) she has helped champion the importance of keeping your monies invested in your community.

A native to Hadley, Taylor grew up working on a corn farm & for a local business owner. A reflection of such, her goals are tightly woven within, and committed to, the communities that make up our Pioneer Valley.

BEN PALKOWSKI

ATTORNEY, CPA

OLD COLONY LAW

I am a Massachusetts asset protection attorney who provides legal counsel to individuals, married couples, families, business owners and nonprofits in the areas of estate planning and campaign finance.

Unlike most lawyers, I am also a Certified Public Accountant. I leverage my experience as a CPA to factor Massachusetts estate tax minimization techniques into estate plans; advise my clients on asset protection strategies; and identify financial issues before they percolate into legal problems.

Previously, I worked as a lobbyist, focusing on tax and health care legislation, first for a public sector labor union, and then at one of northern New England’s largest and leading law firms, representing Fortune 500 corporations and trade associations.

At Old Colony Law, I counsel nonprofits, candidates for public office and political influencers on establishing political organizations; designing tax-efficient charitable and political giving strategies; and unraveling campaign finance and IRS compliance issues.

I earned my law degree at the University of New Hampshire School of Law and my accounting degree at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. My wife and law partner, Claire, and I are proud to co-own Old Colony Law, which is located in the Pioneer Valley in Western Massachusetts.

Claire and I are also the lucky owners of Petty, our orange cat who is named after the legendary songwriter, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and three-time Grammy Award winner, Tom Petty.
